Foundayo tracker
A Foundayo tracker for the once-a-day pill
Foundayo (orforglipron) is a GLP-1 tablet taken once a day, with or without food. Log each tablet quickly, answer a short check-in, and keep your weight, food and fluids beside it. Handle does this for free, and it never tells you what dose to take.

On this page
In short
- A Foundayo tracker is a simple daily record of the tablet you took, how you felt and how your weight is trending, kept together so you can see the pattern over weeks and show it to your prescriber.
- Foundayo (orforglipron) is Eli Lilly's once-daily GLP-1 tablet for weight management, approved by the FDA on April 1, 2026 and authorized in the UK on August 10, 2026.2,4
- It comes in six strengths from 0.8 mg to 17.2 mg and is taken with or without food, at any time of day; the label starts low and steps up gradually, and your prescriber sets the steps.1,3
- In the 72-week ATTAIN-1 trial of adults without diabetes, people on the highest dose lost an average of 11.1% of their body weight against 2.1% on placebo, counting everyone who started (a treatment-regimen analysis).1
- Foundayo isn't in Handle's list of named medicines yet, so you add it under "Something else" with its name, amount and daily schedule; doses, check-ins, weight, food and Journey all work as usual.
What to record in a Foundayo tracker
A daily pill is easy to take on autopilot and hard to remember a month later. Whether you keep a paper journal or an app for Foundayo (orforglipron), these are the details worth keeping.
- Each tablet, and when. The strength and the time you took it. A missed day belongs in the record as much as a taken one.
- Each change of strength. The label starts low and steps up gradually, and your prescriber sets the pace.1 The date of each change helps you both read the weeks that follow.
- How you feel. Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, headache. In the trials, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea were more common while the dose was being increased, and decreased over time.1
- Food, fluids and protein. Foundayo reduces appetite and food intake.1 Watch your fluids if you're vomiting or have diarrhea: the label warns about kidney injury from fluid loss.1 Our GLP-1 food tracker guide has more.
- Weight, as a weekly trend. Weekly averages smooth out the water swings that make single mornings misleading.
- Other medicines and contraception. The label lists medicines that change how much orforglipron reaches your blood, so keep your prescriber and pharmacist up to date.1 On the contraceptive pill? The label advises a non-oral method, or an added barrier method, for 30 days after starting and after each dose increase.1

Add Foundayo under "Something else"
Foundayo isn't in Handle's list of named medicines yet. Add it under "Something else" with its name, the amount your prescriber set and a daily schedule, and each tablet then takes a quick entry.
The one exception is Between doses, the Premium estimated-level curve, which isn't available for Foundayo.
- The strength and the time, in one entry
- Daily reminders in the iPhone app
- Forgot to log? Add it later, up to 30 days back
- No injection site to pick: it's a tablet

Any time of day, with or without food
Foundayo's label sets no fasting rule, no water limit and no waiting time: it says to take the tablet once daily, with or without food.1 Lilly and the UK regulator both describe it as a pill for any time of day without food or water restrictions.3,4 In a study, taking it with food lowered exposure by about a fifth, which the label calls not clinically relevant.1
That sets it apart from the Wegovy pill, whose label says to take it in the morning on an empty stomach with up to 4 ounces of water, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other oral medicines.6 Compare the two in Foundayo vs Wegovy. For tracking, it means Foundayo's daily habit is yours to shape.
In Handle
A check-in that doesn't become a chore
Nausea is asked every day; constipation, diarrhea and others are there if you switch them on. Add up to six extra symptoms, such as headache, belching or fatigue, all of which appear in Foundayo's side-effect table.1
Some answers, such as severe nausea, come with a clear next step, like contacting your care team. Handle never diagnoses and is not a monitoring or emergency service, so if you feel very unwell, contact your clinician or emergency services directly.
- The same short card every day, whatever you answer
- A private note for the day that nothing reads

Side effects to watch on Foundayo
From Foundayo's label, pooling two 72-week trials (ATTAIN-1 and ATTAIN-2) in which 3,155 adults took Foundayo. The trials used an investigational version of the tablet; the label reports results at the matching Foundayo strengths.1

What Foundayo did in the trials
The label counts everyone who started, whether or not they kept taking the tablet. Lilly's headline figure instead estimates the result if everyone had stayed on treatment, which gives a bigger number.
| Trial | Who took part | Average weight change at 72 weeks |
|---|---|---|
| ATTAIN-1 (label) | 3,127 adults with obesity or overweight, without diabetes | −7.4% (5.5 mg), −8.3% (9 mg), −11.1% (17.2 mg) vs −2.1% on placebo1 |
| ATTAIN-2 (label) | 1,613 adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes | −5.1% (5.5 mg), −7% (9 mg), −9.6% (17.2 mg) vs −2.5%1 |
| ATTAIN-1 (Lilly, efficacy estimand) | The same trial, as if everyone had stayed on treatment | −12.4% on the highest dose vs −0.9% on placebo3 |
The journal report of ATTAIN-1 uses the investigational doses (6, 12 and 36 mg) and gives near-identical figures, such as −11.2% on the highest dose (treatment-regimen estimand).5 Averages aren't a prediction for you, and trials of different medicines can't be compared directly; see Foundayo vs Zepbound.
In Handle
See the weeks, not just the days
Journey charts your weight as weekly averages with your Foundayo dose as a step line beneath it, next to how you felt, your food and fluids, and your training. It puts them side by side and never claims one explains another.
- Weigh any day you like, with no reminders to weigh
- Protein and fluid totals; a target only if your clinician set one
- Resistance and cardio sessions counted separately

Daily routine ideas for Foundayo
None of these is a rule, and none is about the dose itself. They are habits that make a daily tablet easier to remember and to record.
- Pair it with something you already do. The label allows it with or without food, so any fixed part of your day can be the cue, like breakfast or brushing your teeth.1
- Keep the bottle where you'll see it. It's stored at room temperature, so there's no fridge to plan around.1
- Log it when you take it. A record made on the spot is the one you can trust later.
- If a day goes differently, write it down. Foundayo's prescribing information and Medication Guide have their own rule for a missed tablet, so ask your prescriber or pharmacist rather than guessing. Handle records what happened and never tells you to catch up.
Choosing a Foundayo tracker: phone alarm, paper or app
A reminder alone doesn't make a record, and a record alone doesn't remind you. Our GLP-1 tracker guide compares apps.
| Phone alarm | Paper chart or journal | Handle | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reminds you | Yes | No | Reminders in the iPhone app |
| Records that you took it | No | A tick in a box | The strength and the time |
| How you felt | No | If you write it down | A short daily check-in |
| Weight trend | No | Numbers on a page | Weekly averages, charted |
| For your prescriber | Nothing to show | The journal itself | Journey charts; consultation report (Premium) |
| Platforms | Your phone | Paper | iPhone |
A paper journal is private and needs no phone, and our free printable GLP-1 tracker works for a daily tablet too. Handle adds the totals and the trends; the consultation report is a Premium feature.

Questions people ask
Is there a Foundayo tracker app?+
Yes. Handle records Foundayo under "Something else": each daily tablet, a short check-in, weight, food and fluids, with Journey charts. The iPhone app is free to download from the App Store. Eli Lilly's free Lilly Health app also says it supports people on Foundayo, according to its App Store listing in September 2026.7
Does Foundayo need to be taken on an empty stomach?+
No. The label says to take it once daily, with or without food, and sets no fasting, water or waiting rule.1 Lilly and the MHRA describe it as a pill for any time of day without food or water restrictions.3,4 That differs from the Wegovy pill, which its label says to take on an empty stomach.6
How long does Foundayo stay in your system?+
According to the label, orforglipron's half-life is about 29 to 49 hours, and a steady level is reached after about one week of once-daily tablets.1 Half-life is the time it takes for the amount in your body to fall by half. If you have questions about a late or missed tablet, ask your pharmacist or prescriber.
What are the most common side effects of Foundayo?+
In the label's pooled 72-week trials, the most common were nausea (26–35% vs 10% on placebo), constipation (20–27% vs 9%), diarrhea (21–25% vs 11%) and vomiting (13–24% vs 4%), depending on strength.1 Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea were more common while the dose was being increased, and decreased over time. See Foundayo side effects.
Is Foundayo the same as orforglipron?+
Yes. Foundayo is Eli Lilly's brand name for orforglipron, a small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist taken as a daily tablet.1,3 Orforglipron was discovered by Chugai Pharmaceutical and licensed by Lilly in 2018.3 So if you're looking for an orforglipron tracker, a Foundayo tracker is the same thing.
Is Foundayo available in the UK?+
It is licensed there: the MHRA authorized Foundayo on August 10, 2026, making the UK the first country in Europe to approve it, for weight management and for type 2 diabetes. It is not currently available through the NHS, and decisions on NHS use will include an evaluation by NICE.4 Handle works the same in the UK.
How is Foundayo different from Zepbound?+
Both are Eli Lilly medicines for weight management. Foundayo is a daily tablet of orforglipron, a GLP-1 receptor agonist; Zepbound is a weekly injection of tirzepatide, which acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors.1,8 They were tested in separate trials, so their results can't be compared directly. See Foundayo vs Zepbound and our guide to whether there is a Mounjaro pill.
Will Handle remind me to take Foundayo every day?+
Handle's dose and check-in reminders come in the iPhone app. On any device, you can record a missed day as missed, with no streaks to lose. Foundayo's prescribing information and Medication Guide have their own rule for missed tablets, so ask your prescriber or pharmacist what to do; Handle never tells you to catch up.
