In short

  • MeAgain is a popular GLP-1 tracker: on September 23, 2026 it had about 34,000 ratings on the US App Store, the most of any dedicated GLP-1 tracker we checked, and its free tier covers shots with reminders, side effects, barcode food logging, nutrition targets and weight.1,2,8
  • MeAgain Premium adds photo food logging, Journey Cards, a home-screen widget and unlimited chat with Capy, its AI companion; MeAgain says the current price is shown on its App Store listing.2
  • By its own account, MeAgain has "no PDF export yet" and is "phone and tablet only — no desktop or web version."3
  • Handle is a MeAgain alternative for iPhone, and its Premium, an optional subscription in the app, includes a consultation report built for clinicians: a summary rather than a diary, shared by a secure link you can revoke, with your private notes left out.
  • MeAgain may suit you better if you want barcode scanning, app-set protein, fiber and water targets, Apple Health sync, an AI companion or a native Android app.1,2,4,5

What MeAgain does well

MeAgain describes itself as "the GLP-1 tracker app for shots and pills — the simple place to track every dose and everything in between."1 It logs weekly shots and daily pills, with dose timing, injection sites and reminders, and shows what its listing calls "medication-level context between doses."1

Food is a real strength. You can log meals by barcode, voice, search or quick-add, or by photo with Premium, and track protein, fiber and water against daily targets.4,2 Side effects are thorough too: the 18 most common, plus unlimited custom symptoms, each on a 0–10 scale.2

There are weight trends, progress photos, widgets, Apple Health sync on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, and an AI companion called Capy.1,5,2 Plenty of people use it: about 34,000 ratings on the US App Store and more than 50,000 downloads on Google Play on September 23, 2026.1,5

Handle's consultation report for a clinician: dose record, weight history and symptom summaries

Where Handle differs as a MeAgain alternative

Both apps log doses, sites, side effects, weight and food. Here is where they part ways, and two things about how Handle keeps its record.

  • A report for your clinician. MeAgain lists "No PDF export yet" among its own cons.3 Handle's consultation report, part of Premium in the iPhone app, is a summary built for appointments; our guide to questions to ask your doctor about GLP-1 covers what to bring.
  • A daily record on iPhone. MeAgain is "phone and tablet only."3 Handle is an iPhone app, with a short daily check-in and your treatment record together.
  • Targets only from your clinician. MeAgain sets protein, fiber and water targets.2,4 Handle shows your totals and displays a target only if your clinician set one, noting who set it. Some people like app-set targets; others prefer to see only the ones their care team gave them. More in our GLP-1 food tracker guide.
  • A shorter check-in. MeAgain's side-effect log is detailed, with a 0–10 scale for each symptom.2 Handle's check-in is deliberately brief: nausea every day, plus the few symptoms you choose, and nothing you answer adds more questions. See our GLP-1 side effect tracker guide.
  • No scores. Weight trends come from weekly averages, and Handle never counts streaks, hands out badges or reminds you to weigh in.
  • Late entries on the right day. Add doses and check-ins up to 30 days back. Handle files each one on the day it happened and keeps the day you added it.

Dose timing: two different approaches

MeAgain's homepage describes a feature called Perfect Dose Day: "Know exactly where your medication levels are — and time your dose so it peaks when you need it most."4 That is MeAgain's wording, as seen on September 23, 2026. Its App Store listing also says MeAgain does not "provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, treat side effects, recommend dose changes or replace your healthcare provider."1

Handle takes a different position. When you take your medicine is part of the plan you and your prescriber agree, and each product's label has its own rules. So Handle records the schedule your prescriber set and the doses you actually took, and never suggests when to take one.

Its estimated level curve, Between doses (Premium), works the same way. It is drawn only from doses you have already taken, it never plots a future dose, and it is labeled as an estimate from published half-life and absorption figures, not a blood test. If you're wondering whether a different day or time would suit you, that's a good question for your prescriber.

A check-in short enough to keep doing

Handle asks about nausea every day, plus the symptoms you switched on. The card stays the same whatever you answer, so a rough day never turns into a long form.

Some answers, such as severe nausea, come with a clear next step, like contacting your care team. Handle never diagnoses and is not a monitoring or emergency service.

  • Diarrhea, hunger, food noise and more, when you choose them
  • Up to six extra symptoms, or one in your own words
  • A private daily note that never goes on the report

When MeAgain may suit you better

MeAgain does several things Handle doesn't, and for some people those will decide it.

  • You scan barcodes. Barcode logging is free in MeAgain.2 Handle has no barcode scanner.
  • You want targets set for you. MeAgain gives you protein, fiber and water targets.2,4 Handle only shows targets your clinician set.
  • You want a native Android app. MeAgain is on Google Play.5 Handle is iPhone only.
  • You want Apple Health or Health Connect sync. MeAgain syncs movement and health data.1,5 Handle doesn't read health data from your phone or watch.11
  • You'd like an AI companion. MeAgain's Capy chats with you, with a free allowance.2 Handle has no AI chat.
  • You like progress photos. MeAgain keeps progress photos and, with Premium, turns them into Journey Cards.1,2 Handle doesn't do progress photos.

Food and fluids, with only the targets your clinician set

Appetite often changes on a GLP-1, and fluids matter when your stomach is unsettled. Handle adds up what you eat and drink for the day, and shows a target only if your clinician gave you one.

  • Food search using USDA data
  • Protein, calorie and fluid totals for the day
  • Photo scanning with Premium: review and edit before saving

Apps like MeAgain: how it compares with Shotsy

Shotsy is the other most-rated GLP-1 tracker on the US App Store.8 Each cell below uses only that app's own claims about itself, checked on September 23, 2026. For Shotsy against Handle, see our Shotsy alternative page.

Switching to a MeAgain alternative

Handle has no import, and MeAgain says your dose, symptom and weight history "live in the app itself" for now,3 so start with what matters today.

  1. 1
Note what you want to keep

Your current plan, recent injection sites, a starting weight and anything you want to raise with your clinician.

  2. 2
Create a free account and add your plan

An email address and a password are enough. Then add your medicine, the amount your prescriber set and your schedule, weekly or daily.

  3. 3
Fill in the last 30 days

Add recent doses with their sites and any check-ins you remember. Each is filed on the day it happened.

  4. 4
    Add a starting weight

Weight can go back further than 30 days, so an older reading can be your baseline.

  5. 5
    Choose your check-in symptoms

Nausea is asked every day; switch on the others you care about, or add one in your own words.

Questions people ask

Is the MeAgain app free?

Yes, for the basics. MeAgain's free tier includes shot and dose logging with reminders, side effects on a 0–10 scale, food logging by barcode, search or quick entry, protein, water and fiber targets, weight, activity and a limited allowance of chat with its AI companion. Premium adds photo food logging, Journey Cards, a home-screen widget and unlimited chat.2

How much does MeAgain cost?

MeAgain doesn't publish a price on its website. It describes Premium as "a month-to-month subscription with the current price shown on the App Store listing", so check the listing for today's price where you live.2,1 Its free tier covers the everyday basics without paying.2

Does MeAgain have a PDF export?

Not yet, by MeAgain's own account. Its comparison page lists "No PDF export yet — dose, symptom, and weight history live in the app itself."3 Handle's consultation report, part of Premium in the iPhone app, is built for sharing: a summary sent by a secure link your clinician can open without an account.

What are some apps like MeAgain?

The closest in size is Shotsy, which also keeps its core tracking free and offers PDF export.7,8 Handle is an iPhone alternative, with a consultation report for clinicians among the Premium features in its iPhone app. Our Shotsy alternative page also covers Glapp and Pep (by Shred Apps), and our MyFitnessPal alternative page covers food-first apps.

Is MeAgain better than Shotsy?

It depends on what you need. MeAgain's free tier includes barcode food logging, nutrition targets and an AI companion, while Shotsy offers PDF export, separate schedules for several medicines and apps for Mac and Apple Vision.2,8 Both keep core dose logging free. The table above sets out each app's own claims side by side.

What data does MeAgain collect?

MeAgain's App Store privacy label, which developers complete themselves, lists "Data Used to Track You: Identifiers, Usage Data" and links data such as health and fitness, contact info and purchases to you.1 On Google Play, it states that no data is shared with third parties.5 Handle has no advertising and doesn't sell personal information.11

Does Handle tell me when to take my dose?

No. Handle records the schedule your prescriber set and what you actually took, and never suggests changing, skipping, timing or catching up a dose. Its Between doses curve (Premium) only draws doses already taken. Questions about timing belong with your prescriber, who knows your medicine's instructions and your health.

Is MeAgain or MyFitnessPal better for GLP-1?

They're built for different jobs. MyFitnessPal is a food and fitness tracker whose GLP-1 tracking is offered only in the US (iOS and Android) and Canada (iOS), with the app set to English.10 MeAgain is built around GLP-1 treatment, with food logging included.1 Our MyFitnessPal alternative page covers MyFitnessPal's GLP-1 features in detail.
